James Madison Fellowship Program

Description

Junior Fellowships are for top college seniors or recent college graduates with no teaching experience who plan to teach U.S. history, government, or civics (including the Constitution) in grades 7–12. Fellows must complete a full-time graduate program within two years.

To be eligible, you must: 

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Plan to become a teacher in grades 7-12 in U.S. history, government, or civics (including the Constitution). 
  • Already have a bachelor’s degree (or plan to earn one by August 31 of the year you apply).
