
Catawba College, founded in 1851, is a private, residential college in North Carolina that blends career-focused learning with a strong liberal arts foundation. Located in the southern Piedmont region, Catawba is affiliated with the United Church of Christ.
Students can choose from more than 70 areas of study across the arts, sciences and professional fields, with especially strong options in science and pre-professional programs. While undergraduate programs are the main focus, Catawba also offers a small selection of graduate programs online.
The college is known for its close-knit community, with small class sizes and dedicated faculty who support students both in and out of the classroom. With 84 full-time faculty and additional part-time instructors, Catawba supports a personalized learning environment for about 1,270 students representing 39 states and 30 countries.
