Grants, Stipends, Scholarships

Chesmar Teacher Scholarship FundSan Jacinto College has partnered with the Chesmar Teacher Scholarship Fund. If you’re eligible, the scholarship covers all tuition and costs of your certification program. In exchange, you must commit to teaching for three years in an independent school district after graduating.

Educational Aide ExemptionIf you’re a paraprofessional working in an independent school district and enrolled in the Associate of Arts in Teaching program, you may qualify for the Educational Aide Exemption supported through the College for All Texans program. The program covers the cost of tuition.

Work Study, Working While Still Enrolled

Work-study opportunities are available at the College's Central Campus Children's Center, accredited by the National Association of Young Children and recognized as a 4-star provider through the Texas Rising Star program. You can use your work hours towards the field experience hours required throughout your program.
