Stanly Community College
About
For over 50 years, Stanly Community College has been meeting the needs of the region’s workforce. The Curriculum Division leads the way with more than 27 programs of study in fields such as health, business, engineering, computers, public service and college transfer. The Continuing Education Division supports the community through programs in basic skills, adult high school, professional and industry certifications, health care, computer training, protective services and much more! Stanly Community College serves approximately 10,000 students annually across curriculum, continuing education and basic skills programs.

I would tell a fellow teacher seeking licensure from Stanly Community College, that it's an ideal program for someone looking for affordability, a program that cares about the well-being of their students trying to work in the field, and a program that allows you to learn what is needed while still having time for your family. It means an opportunity to seek a license for education, the non-traditional route for individuals with a passion for teaching but seeking a career after receiving a bachelor's degree in a different field.
