Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs at UNCW’s Watson College of Education provide a pathway to teaching for career-changers, lateral entry teachers, recent college graduates and other individuals with a bachelor’s degree but little or no experience in education.
Courses are taught by dedicated faculty with extensive teaching experience, and programs are designed to accommodate working professionals while providing strong preparation for effective teaching and learning in the classroom.
