Early childhood educators do far more than supervise children. They support young people's language development, their confidence and their curiosity – all skills they need to succeed in school and in life. During our live event on April 30, 2026, we sat down with passionate educators who shared their biggest takeaways about our littlest learners.

Dr. Rosemarie Allen, Associate Professor and Global Leader for Early Childhood, is a nationally recognized leader who has trained educators and organizations across 48 states.
“I had a choice between law school and taking over a three-year-old class. And I chose that class in Long Beach, California and never looked back. Never regretted it a day in my life.”

Jamal Berry, President and CEO of Educare DC and PBS Early Learning Champion, has dedicated his career to elevating early childhood education and advocating for both young children and the educators who serve them.
“I started as an infant toddler mentor teacher, a role that supervises and coaches teachers, and I wanted to really show that men had this duality to them where they could be nurturers and educators.”

Jeremy Davis is an experienced education leader and Senior Program Manager at TEACH.org. He brings over a decade of experience, from being a middle school English teacher to academic mentoring at local New Orleans non-profits. Now, he is leading initiatives that strengthen the teacher pipeline across TEACH’s partnered regions.
“As educators, we get to serve in many roles both inside and outside the classroom– even in our communities.”
