The TAs to Teachers program encourages Teaching Assistants to pursue teaching licenses either full-time or part-time through financial assistance and academic leave opportunities.
Through the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, each participating school board may grant TAs academic leave to pursue their teaching license. Each school board may also award up to five TAs as much as $4,600 each per year toward the cost of tuition.
