Description
This Fellowship provides special funding for people who meet the requirements for the James Madison Fellowship (below) and have also served in the military. This Fellowship provides special funding top college seniors or recent college graduates with no teaching experience who plan to teach U.S. history, government, or civics (including the Constitution) in grades 7–12. Fellows must complete a full-time graduate program within two years.
To be eligible, you must:
- Have served in the military
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Plan to become a teacher in grades 7-12 in U.S. history, government, or civics (including the Constitution).
- Already have a bachelor’s degree (or plan to earn one by August 31 of the year you apply).
