Qualification Criteria (High school students):
- Candidate shall be a minority as recognized by the National Foundation for the Improvement of Education (Black; Native-American/Alaskan Native; Asian/Pacific Islander and Hispanic/Latino).
- The applicant must be a full time high school student currently enrolled in a public high school in Connecticut.
- The applicant must indicate evidence of pursuing interest in teaching as a career in college and confirm his/her intention to enter the teaching profession in CT.
- The applicant must present evidence of maintaining a 3.0 cumulative index average on a 4 point scale during high school.
- The applicant should provide instances of leadership roles, community activities, volunteer experience and financial need.
- Continuing Eligibility: The applicant must present evidence of pursuing a full time course of study that will result in obtaining teaching credentials in Connecticut and sustain a 3.0 cumulative average for each year of study.
