Federal Pell Grant

The Federal Pell Grant gives free money to help pay for college. You don’t have to pay it back. This grant aims to support undergraduate students with financial need.

To be eligible, you must:

• Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
• Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
• Enroll in a degree or certificate program at an eligible school

• The amount you get depends on your financial need, cost of attendance and enrollment status (full- or part-time)
• The money can be used for tuition, fees, books and other college costs
