Minnesota Aspiring Teachers of Color Scholarship

This scholarship provides financial help to eligible undergraduate and graduate students preparing to become teachers, who have financial need and are from backgrounds that are underrepresented in Minnesota’s teacher workforce.

To be eligible, you must:

• Attend a participating Minnesota college or university.
• Be working toward your initial teaching license.
• Be admitted and enrolled in a PELSB-approved teacher preparation program or two-year early childhood educator program.
• Be a person of color or American Indian.
• Demonstrate financial need through your FAFSA or Minnesota Dream Act application. 
• Plan to teach in a Minnesota school after you earn your teaching license.
