TeJay Johnson

TeJay Johnson helped the TCU Horned Frogs win the 2011 Rose Bowl, yet his dedication to education led him not to pursue the NFL draft. TeJay is now passionate about teaching, coaching and mentoring young leaders in Arlington ISD at Ousley Jr. High.

A native of Dallas, TX, TeJay Johnson is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where he received his bachelors in Habilitation of Deaf and Hard of Hearing. A former All American safety, TeJay is passionate about mentorship and lends himself to do so in a number of ways. Receiving his Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy, he is an educator, football and head Track coach and sponsors a young men’s organization called Young Emerging Leaders of Ousley. An active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., TeJay also wears the hat of advisor to the Eta Psi chapter of Alpha at TCU. Recently graduating with a Master’s of Education from the University of Texas at Arlington, TeJay is in active pursuit of his next steps of being a high school defensive coordinator, where he will not only continue to mentor young men and develop leaders, but is confident that if he works smart enough, he could be the next Gary Patterson. TeJay is grateful for life, the experiences that have shaped him, and most of all the unique opportunity he has to change lives daily.
