Each of our graduate programs combines online learning with hands-on experiences through internships or practicums. Given that most of our master's candidates are full-time educators, we work closely with them to coordinate internship or practicum experiences at their local school site where they can receive direct mentorship from school or district administrators, coaches and master teachers.
Our graduate programs prepare educators to deepen their skills in working with diverse populations while providing opportunities to earn additional credentials in culturally and linguistically diverse education and TESOL.
Our master's candidates work largely within the local school sites to engage with diverse groups of students and student populations most relevant to their specific field of study.
Mentoring and coaching is provided by our excellent faculty, as well as by local school administrators, coaches and master teachers who provide one-on-one support to master's candidates in the areas of practice most relevant to their chosen degree path.
Adams State University partners with several national and local organizations to offer exceptional quality in courses and practicum experiences. One of our partnerships with Endeavor provides our graduate students to earn a STEM teaching certificate through STEM courses designed in collaboration with NASA and world-renowned experts in STEM education.
We also partner with regional and local organizations to promote diversity and services through our culturally and linguistically diverse education and TESOL certificate programs.
