Program Info

Augsburg’s Education Department offers 14 licensure programs and four middle-level endorsements to prepare you to lead in classrooms, schools and communities. You’ll learn in small classes with strong faculty mentorship and flexible day or evening options—ideal for first-time students or working adults. Through coursework and field experiences, you’ll gain the skills to teach all learners in a diverse, changing world, focusing on four key themes: relationships, reflection and inquiry, diversity and equity, and leadership.

Endowed Scholarships: Each spring, you can apply for a variety of endowed scholarships offered specifically for Education students. 

Grants for Future Educators: You may be eligible for several grants, including:

  • Grow Your Own Grants – In partnership with local K–12 schools
  • Student Teaching Grants
  • Minnesota Future Teacher Grants

Minnesota Indian Teacher Grant and Loan Program: If you're eligible and complete Augsburg’s teacher preparation program, you may qualify for this program by teaching in St. Paul or Minneapolis public schools.
