Program Info

Morgan State University offers two robust programs designed to prepare youto teach in a classroom that welcomes students from all backgrounds. With a curriculum grounded in liberal arts and innovative teaching practices, you will graduate feeling confident and ready to teach, supported by experienced faculty and mentor teachers throughout your journey.

The Elementary Education Program prepares teachers and other professional educators. Through this degree program, you will graduate from a Maryland Certified Teacher Education program that leads to a Maryland Teaching Certification in grades 1-6.
The Physical Education Program prepares physical educators and practitioners in the field of athletics. Within the Physical Education major, there are academic tracks in the areas of Recreation and Parks and Sports Administration and Teacher Education. Each track leads to a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. The Teacher Education track leads to a Specialty Maryland Teaching Certification in grades K-12.
