UNC Greensboro was founded in 1891 to give women access to a college education, and is now one of the largest co-ed, public NC universities. North Carolina Teachers of Excellence for All Children (NC TEACH) recruits, trains, supports and retains mid-career professionals as they work to become licensed teachers in North Carolina. The program is designed to offer lateral entry/residency teachers the opportunity to earn an initial professional licensure to teach in North Carolina.
