Located in the southeast North Carolina town of Pembroke, UNCP has a rich American Indian history and is one of the safest campuses in the University of North Carolina system. With small class sizes, a low student-faculty ratio and one of the most diverse campuses in the nation, UNCP is a growing university that empowers students to go on to live vibrant, fulfilling lives.
90 percent of UNCP graduates are employed within 12 months of graduation. UNCP boasts successful alumni, including a former U.S. Ambassador, a Division I basketball coach, professional athletes, doctors, lawyers, an Olympian, and Miss North Carolina (2017), along with countess professionals making a difference throughout our region every day.

The Brave Scholars program is needs based scholarship that seeks to provide financial and professional support to future elementary and special education educators who make a commitment to serve in one of our partner districts following graduation.
