This program is for students who already have an undergraduate or graduate degree but need additional coursework to qualify for teaching certification. Completing this program will lead to initial teacher certification.

Accelerated Master's program: Designed for undergraduate students interested in secondary education, this program allows you to take up to 12 graduate credits while completing your bachelor's degree. These credits can count toward both your BA and your graduate work. Afterward, you can transition to the Secondary Education and Youth Services advanced certificate program to continue your studies.

Master of Arts in Education (MAT): This program is intended for students with an undergraduate degree but without the necessary coursework for teaching certification. Upon completion, you will earn both initial and professional New York State teacher certification, as well as a master’s degree.
