Program Info

The Bachelor of Science in Education in the Department of Teacher Education at TWU graduates profession-ready teachers in a number of certifications. Our students can be fully certified at graduation. Our students graduate with content knowledge in the area where they will teach, the ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse students, and demonstrated teaching skills before entering the classroom.

TWU students will be teachers prepared to work with diverse populations, including students with exceptional needs, English Language Learners and more. Texas Woman’s University is designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution and was one of the earliest higher education institutions in the region to train bilingual teachers.
